It is proposed that the grant be extended for a period of 12 months from 1st of April 2019 through to 31st of March 2020.

The proposed grant for 201 9/20 is for the sum of £16,200.00 and contributes to the Councils wider grant to SCVO of £158,888.00.

2.1 That the Director-Monitoring Officer enters into a new contract
with the successful tenderer for the provision of a SENDIASS
service from 1 April 2019 to 31 March 2022 (with the option to
extend for a further year) on terms to be agreed by the Director
– Education, Skills and Employment.

2.1 That the Council continue to procure Personal Protective Equipment, Safety Footwear & Uniforms from Future Garments Ltd, the current contractor for a five-month period from 1st August 2019 until 31st December 2019. The anticipated expenditure during this period is anticipated to be £38000.
2.2 That any necessary exemptions be made under the Council’s
Procurement & Contract Procedure Rules to enable the course
of action referred to in 2.1 above to proceed.

2.1 That a contract be awarded to House on the Hill Ltd for a period of three years at a maximum value of £10,584 to deliver seven software licences

2.1 That, following analysis of the returned tenders in accordance with the
published selection and award criteria, Gem Precast Ltd be awarded the
contract to Supply and Install Burial Chambers in Sandwell for a period of
four years from 1st April 2019 to 3st March 2023 at a total estimated cost
of £140,000.
2.2 That in connection with 2.1 above, the Director— Law and Governance be authorised to enter into an appropriate contract with Gem Precast Ltd, Unit 13a, Holme Industrial Estate, Holme on Spalding Moor, York. Y043 4BB.

Section D18 of the existing housing allocations policy by adding
that:
If at any time during the offer or sign-up process it is
established that the applicant will not be entitled to the housing
element of Universal Credit either
a) A formal offer will not be made; OR,
b) The offer will be withdrawn
The above will not apply in instances where the applicant can
demonstrate a long term and sustainable income stream that
will sustain the rental charge on the property.
This LLP will take effect from 01.09.17. The Housing
Allocations Policy is currently under review and this LLP will
cease to apply from the date that the revised policy takes
effect.

2.1 That approval is given for bonfire events to be held at Victoria
Park, Smethwick (3ft~ November 2017 and Dartmouth Park,

That the Council sponsors the Jazz Festival for the financial year 2017/18

Murray Hall Community Trust are extended for 12 months to 31
March 2020.
2.2 That the level of funding available for those contracts in 2019/20 is
reduced in line with the removal of the £700k pa funding from the
Primary Partnership.

2.1 It is highly probable that UC customers requiring PBS will have arrears
of rent and/or council tax and will therefore present at Sandwell’s offices.
We would naturally offer support to these customers regardless of
whether a delivery partnership agreement exists.
2.2 Signing the agreement provides us with an opportunity to understand the
levels of support customers require when they move onto UC and the
wider impact of this for the Council.
2.3 It is therefore recommended that Sandwell signs the Grant Funding
Agreement for the period 01 April 2017 to 31 March 2018.
